The families of teenagers missing after a deadly blaze at a bar in a Switzerland's alpine town are confronting an painful wait for answers and requesting clues about their family members online.

The inferno engulfed the Le Constellation bar in Cans-Montana, located in the mountains of south-west Switzerland, in the middle of the night of New Year's Day. Circulated images show the ceiling being engulfed in flames as beverages with fireworks are raised in celebration.

Officials have indicated that it could take an extended period to formally name the fatalities of the fire, which claimed the lives of numerous partygoers and hurt another 119. Officials noted on the latest update that the majority of the those hurt have been identified, with efforts continuing to name the remaining few.

In the interim, relatives have been using the internet to plead for information about their loved ones who were present at the venue that evening.

Desperate Searches for the Unaccounted For

The whereabouts of teenager from Switzerland Arthur Brodard, a teenager, are currently unknown, according to an heartfelt request from his mother.

The resident of a town near Lausanne, told a local newspaper that she had returned to the city to check whether he was in the hospital, while his other parent did the equivalent search in the capital, but could not find him.

"It feels like a terrible dream, a horror. The options are finding my son in the morgue, or I find him in a serious state. It's terrible," she stated.

She explained that some of his peers had been found with injuries covering nearly half their bodies. "There are no words; they experienced an absolute nightmare."

The Italy's government has indicated that a number of of its citizens remain missing.

One of those is Emanuele Galeppini, a 16-year-old promising athlete, originally from Italy but now living in Dubai.

The Italian Golf Federation has stated that he is dead, without directly referencing the tragedy, paying tribute to a "young athlete who carried with him dedication and authentic values."

His father, told media that his son was at the bar and was last in contact around the new year. An official spokesperson has stated that a formal confirmation of his death is awaited.

Further Missing Individuals

Giovanni Tamburi, 16, is also unaccounted for. His mother said that he had been on holiday but had ventured out with friends and ended up at the bar.

"A companion informed me they ran away after the fire broke out and that he had his mobile with him, but then at a specific moment he they were separated," she recounted, adding he had been wearing a identifiable piece of jewelry.

One of his teachers stated, "He was known for his good nature and positive demeanor, alongside great maturity. He would frequently ask if get me a coffee."

Alice Kallergis, who holds dual Swiss and Greek citizenship but lives permanently in the country, was also present on that night, according to sources.

Her brother has shared an appeal on social media, saying the relatives has had "no information" regarding the 15-year-old or the three friends she was with, who are also reported missing.

Officials from her other nation say they are continuing to monitor the case.
