Plane Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Land in UK Due to Fracture in Windshield

An aircraft carrying the US defense secretary was compelled to make an unscheduled landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the aircraft's cockpit window, according to an announcement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.

"The plane landed based on standard procedures and all passengers, such as Pete Hegseth, is safe," an official representative said in a social media post.

Hegseth was returning from a quick journey to Brussels during the flight.

This occurrence isn't the initial instance that a US military aircraft transporting a top government figure has encountered mechanical issues.

Months ago, a United States Air Force aircraft ferrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to Munich was required to return to the US capital after suffering a mechanical fault.
